Kristen Hoebel & Steve Hernandez said their “I Do’s” in the Juno Garden at Caesar’s Palace on March 6, 2010. After a fabulous session with the Bride and Groom around the C.P. property, the group headed to Buca Di Beppos for a family style Italian meal. The evening rounded out at the Shadow Bar, which is should not be missed if visited Caesar’s. This post may seem like the Kristen show, but I wanted to post images of her right away so that her father could see how she looked on her wedding day. I will update with more images of Steve in the next few days. Notice the last image that I couldn’t help but post. Floppy face photos never seize to be hilarious

Kat, Grant & The Elusive Lillian

I had so much on this shoot, and I can’t tell you how much I adore Kat and Grant! Lillian, or baby Lily as most will call her, is in for a world of love! Kat is due in a few weeks and I can hardly wait to meet the little girl, let alone photograph her. One thing is for sure, she will probably come out playing the piccolo, this is one musical family!

Las Vegas Wedding Photography – Jenny & Ben – 1.16.10

Jenny & Ben had a fabulous wedding beginning with some prep shots at the J.W. Marriott in Summerlin (the location for our Day After shoot as well) which was a lovely contrast to the Vegas Strip shots I am used to. After their intimate ceremony at Jenny’s mother’s church, the party moved to The Emerald at Queensridge (great location for larger weddings). The next day, Jenny and Ben put on the wedding clothes again and we were able to capture more shots at their hotel. In my experience, day after shoots are not usually favored by the men, but Ben was such a trooper! I told him he gets the award for best groom. While editing some of the dancing photos, I realized that I had captured a moment between one of the groomsmen (honestly, I was editing this photo for about 10 minutes before I noticed) and his lady. I think he chose that opportune moment to be captured on camera. Just goes to show that you never know what will end up in your wedding album

Cory & Meghan – Genoa, NV – 12.27.10

Cory & Meghan had a small wedding at Walley’s Hotsprings a few days after Christmas. Not only was I totally impressed with how quickly they were able to put together a wedding, but also, absolutely in awe of how calm they were. I would have been breathing through a paper bag, but Cory and Meghan had the right idea, do your best to make the details come together and in the end enjoy the day for what it is – a wedding between two people. After the lovely ceremony, we walked out to the back lawn that looks out onto the Sierras, the steam rising from the hotspring creek, and an amazing sunset. I love photographing in winter in Genoa, honestly, it is nearly a perfect location! Cory & Meghan, I hope you love the photos as much as I loved taking them! Congratulations and warmest wishes on your future together!

Chad & Melissa – Engaged!

For those of you that know Chad Vanderbur or Melissa LeMay (Chad is my cousin, and despite the namesake, Melissa is not related to me) you know by now that Chad proposed to Mel that day after xmas at our family charity gift give. First of all, it goes without saying that Chad is brave! He stood up and bared his heart in front of about 20 family members (all of which cried like babies) to a very surprised Melissa. A secret is not really a secret in our family, so all of us knew what was going to happen (I even caught it on video); but I am shocked that no one leaked it to Melissa. She was sincerely surprised, which made the moment all that more sweet. Of course she said yes! As soon as everyone was able to catch their breath, I sort of insisted that we get some engagement photos before they head back to Seattle. I am so glad we did! The photos are evidence enough that these two are crazy about each other. My cheeks hurt from smiling so much while editing them. I love you Chad Mel and I can’t wait to photograph your wedding!

Kristin & Tom – Montreux – 9.26.2009

Kristin and Tom had a gorgeous ceremony on the fairway at Montreux Golf Course. Kristin arrived by horse drawn carriage, and from the ceremony site you could see her wind her way towards us. Tom held it together (for the most part), but I could tell that the moment was a little overwhelming, for everyone! During the formal portrait session, their nephew created quite the hilarious moment with an announcement that he had done something, and I am sure you can figure it out by the expression on everyone’s face. Later, we traveled up to the pond for some photos. It was a gorgeous day, a beautiful couple, and they were definitely surrounded by a ton of friends and family. Congrats!
